Boren, Esther Althea Jones (Mrs. Clarence E. Boren). 1897-1963. Grand Prairie, Dallas. Painter.
Boren was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and came to Dallas about 1913. She studied at the Art Students League of New York and the Aunspaugh Art School, Dallas, and was a student of Frank Reaugh and John Francis Knott. After 1922 she exhibited under the surname Boren. She died in Dallas and was buried in the city.
Exhibitions: Annual Texas Artists Exhibition, Fort Worth (1918-20, 1922-23); Annual Exhibition of Texas Artist, Dallas Woman's Forum (1920).
