  • Biography

    EM Dillard (1879-1968) Dallas Artist

Emily, E. M. Dillard (1879-1968) was also known as or Em. She was never known as "Emma" -- but since she signed her work "E.M." people assumed that was the case.

She studied with Frank Klepper, Frank Reaugh and Vivian Aunspaugh. She was an active Dallas painter and member of many art clubs, including the Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts and the Dallas Artists and Craftsmen.

She exhibited at the Fort Worth Texas Art Exhibition beginning in the 1930's, the Aunspaugh Art Club in the 1930's, the Dallas Allied Arts in the 1930's and 1940's, and the Frank Reaugh Art Club in the 1930's and 1940's. She also exhibited at Telenews Galleries in the 1940's, the Frank Klepper Art Club in 1930's-1940's and the La Fiesta of Art Dallas in 1950's.
