A longtime Texas painter, he was born in Lometa and studied at the Schreiner Institute in Kerrville, at Trinity University, and in Chicago at the Academy of Art. He has taught many workshops and a painting class at the Jewish Community Center in San Antonio. He has been a member of the San Antonio Art League of which in 1978, he was voted Artist of the Year, and his work is in the permanent collection of that city's McNay Art Museum.
